Instructional Technology
Many individuals from outside the field think that instructional technology means the media or devices used in classrooms, for instance, Videos, audios, Computers, mobile devices, etc. That is might be because of the historical development of the field which started by considering any audio or visual media as instructional technology.
However, Instructional Technology is "the study and ethical practice of facilitating learning and improving performance by creating, using, and managing appropriate technological processes and resources" (Reiser, 2012).
Instructional Design is used to develop instructions and guide educators by using models and following specific steps to complete the process. it defined as "a system of procedures for developing educational and training materials in a consistent and reliable fashion" (Branch, 2017)
There are numerous of instructional design models, the most famous one is the ADDIE model, which stands of Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate, as shown in the figure by (Wikipedia)
